First of all i have to declare that i am not a critic of any kind, i am just a fan of reading.
Stepped accidentally on the book "Love in a headscarf", was tempted by the new title to read it, it's gripped me for 3 nights till i finished it.
Starting softly with a humorous touch of marriage traditions in India & related country.
Then as time passed by, both in the book & the life of the author, it unfolds into great , well written life experience of a second generation Muslim into UK , with all the conflicts of muslim women, as well as the conflicts of religeous vs. cultural restrictions.
What love is really about, both for a woman, and for a Muslim, for a second generation Muslim.
the book is a wow, a must read in my opinion for all the immigrants & specially who have a second generation.
All the book is nice, except for some chapter, she tipped into sufism, didn't take much time on it, but talking to a second generation immigrants about sufism that fast is like tempting them into more knowledge about it(specially mentioning the depths of it), it's just a personal note, other than that the book is a wow.
A must read, life-transforming book for all people want to know about love.
Many thanks for the author for letting us share her experience.
